We went Kite-Flying

...and dog-walking.

On Sunday, despite cold temperatures and misty drizzle, Scott and I took the girls (and Zena!) to a nearby park to fly a little nylon fold-up kite Scott bought them. We ended up having a great time! There was very little wind, so our kite-flying efforts were not very fruitful. However, we all enjoyed the fresh air and exercise. Zena loved it too! We rarely take her to parks any more, so this was a lovely treat for her.

Katy was more interested in the dog-walking part of the expedition than the kite-flying! She loves animals, so this was not surprising.

Scott, Dianna and I all attempted to get the kite up. We got it up a few feet, but that was the best we could manage!

Then the girls played in the playground while Scott and I walked about a bit.

We even let Zena off the leash for a little while (shhh, don't tell!) and she had a great time exploring. Here she is crossing a bridge.

It was a nice outing. :)
